MEET THE STAFF

The board hired an executive director, Chelsea King, in November 2022. In July 2023, OHEC earned its 501(c)3 status. Chelsea has a team of talented individuals who help operate the organization.

Chelsea King

Executive Director

Chelsea has a dynamic professional background that includes experience in education, policy, and organizational development. Chelsea was an adjunct professor at Portland State University and Linfield University, and she specializes in start-ups, launching several businesses and non-profit organizations. She co-founded the grassroots organization named the Wilsonville Alliance for Inclusive Communities and served as Chair and Vice-Chair on the West Linn-Wilsonville School Board (2015- 2023).

Marian Hammond

Deputy Director

Prior to joining the staff of the The Collaborative, Marian co-founded and led Brink Communications, a cause-centered marketing agency that specialized in social justice and public health. Her 20-year background in communications strategy also includes serving as Oregon Governor Ted Kulongoski’s communications director; press secretary for Oregon Secretary of State Bill Bradbury; and Global Strategies Manager at Business Oregon, where she guided the Oregon Innovation Council’s successful work to secure $44 million in state funding for job creation programs. Marian currently serves on the board of Basic Rights Oregon, the state’s leading LGBTQ2SIA+ advocacy organization.

Brittany Resch

Visual Communications

Brittany Resch is a graphic designer in Portland, OR with over a decade of experience working with clients from niche to corporate. She uses her skills as a communicator to create informative and influential visuals for print and digital media. In addition to other creative mediums, she actively participates in community art initiatives.
